Technical samples
Some of these tracks come in 3 different versions: without click, with click, and just click on its own. This is so you can hear the track on its own, in time with a metronome click, then the metronome click on its own so you can play along up to speed.

Obviously these tracks are played up to tempo and they are speeds which you should be aiming to achieve after time, NOT straight away. All the tabs for these exercises are found within the lessons section of the site.

Alternate picking four note per string over 6 strings
This exercise provides a great warm up work out. Use strict alternate picking (down,up,down,up) and the right hand and use one finger per fret in the left hand. This example uses the 1,2,3,4 format, but of course there are many different variations to this exercise, all of which are explored in the lessons.

Alternate picking over 2 strings
This exercise will let you master the art of travelling from one string to the next seamlessly. Simply choose three notes, run up the notes on one string then move onto the next string and play the same pattern. Repeat the pattern over and over whilst building up speed as you go playing in free time.
Baroque
This exercise is based around a simple broken up arpeggio idea that moves in sequence long the top two strings. It’s a great piece to strengthen up the 3rd and pinkie fingers whilst giving the right hand a strict alternate picking test.
